At Building Blocks Therapy Centre, we are committed to supporting children and their families with compassionate, evidence-based care. Our services are designed to meet a variety of needs and include counselling using CBT and other therapeutic approaches, behaviour skills training, sibling support, home and school observations, social skills groups, positive parenting programs, adult counselling, workshops, and educational interventions. We also offer support for adults, whether or not they are parents. For a full overview of our services, please see the “Our Services” section below. We know that every family is unique, with its own strengths, challenges, and goals. This is why we take the time to understand your family before suggesting the most helpful path forward. Discover Our Child, Adult, and Family Services

Parent Coaching Services

Parent coaching fosters long-lasting positive changes for your family, children, and yourself. We provide a 12 session transformative programme which is transformative for every parent no matter how unique your situation is. Parent coaching is offered via our virtual clinic.

Arrowsmith Program

Arrowsmith designs individualised programs that strengthen cognitive functions in the brain to improve performance in all areas of a person’s life and at any age. We offer Full-Time and Part-Time Programmes. We currently offer At Home Delivery (virtual).

Social Skills Programme

Social skills help children form positive relationships, have conversations, use body language, cooperate, share, and play together. Good social skills also improve mental capacity, cognitive abilities, and overall mental health. Social skills training can be 1:1 or in a pair, and completed in person or via our virtual clinic.

Consultation Services

Before starting services with us, the first step is to book a consultation. This is where we get to know eachother and learn more about you. Consultations can also be booked at any point throughout your therapy journey with us. Consultation services are offered via our virtual clinic.

Sibling Support

Sibling support is an essential service that assists siblings of children who may have additional needs. This service aims to assist sibling relationship and the child's overall self-worth and self-esteem. This service is offered via our virtual clinic.

Assessments

Psychological tests, also known as psychometric tests, are standardised instruments that are used to measure behavior or mental attributes. These attributes may include attitudes, emotional functioning, intelligence and cognitive abilities, aptitude, values, interests, personality characteristics, and more. This service is offered face to face or via our virtual clinic.

Elimination Communication and Potty Training

Elimination Communication is for children ages 0-18 months. Potty Training is for 18 months and up. This service is offered 1:1 or as a group training, and is delivered via our virtual clinic.

School and Nursery Observations

School observations are essential to help us view your child in their day to day life. During an observation, we gather behavioural data to assist us create a bespoke programme for your child. This service is completed at your child's educational setting.

Adult Counselling

Counselling is a type of talking therapy or psychological therapy. It involves talking to a therapiest about your problems. Our Adult Counselling services are delivered via our virtual clinic.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions. CBT sessions can be offered on their own or as part of your bespoke programme.

Home Visits and Observations

Home observations are essential to help us view your child in their day to day life. During an observation, we gather behavioural data to assist us create a bespoke programme for your child. This service is completed at your home. It can also be completed virtually with a facilitator present at your home.

Child Counselling

Our therapists and practitioners specialse in in supporting children facing various challenges, including anxiety, stress, worry, or those who have encountered trauma.

Workshops

Workshop are offered as group or 1:1 services. Workshops are delivered both face to face and virtually.
